It has been a long winter here in Maine, and Spring has finally arrived. As we start to prepare our homes for a new season, why not give your body a good spring clean too. This is a good time to start turning from winter warming foods to fresher foods that might detox our bodies from our winter indulgences and jump start our metabolisms.

1 Frozen Banana
Juice of 1 lemon
2 cups spinach
1 tsp almond butter (or any other nut butter)
2 tbs ground flax meal
1 cup almond milk
