GO TO SMOOTHIE BOWL

Recipe adapted from Minimalist Baker

 

This go to smoothie bowl is a nutritious summer breakfast, that is filled with antioxidants and fiber.

 

SMOOTHIE BOWL

  • 1/2 cups organic frozen mixed berries

  • 1  frozen banana sliced

  • 2-3 Tbsp almond milk (or any other plant based milk, plus more as needed

  • optional: 1 scoop vegan protein powder

TOPPINGS

  • 1 Tbsp hemp seeds

  • 1 Tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes 

  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 Tsp almond butter or peanut butter

  • optional: fruit

  • optional: granola 

METHOD

  1. Place frozen berries and banana into blender and blend on low.

  2. Add a bit of almond milk and protein powder (optional), and blend on low again, scraping down sides as needed, the mixture needs to reach a soft serve consistency.

  3. Scoop mixture into serving bowls and add desired toppings (optional).
